The Tunisian Foreign Minister, Mr. Mohammed Masmoudi, has begun talks with the Jordanian Government with a view to gaining support for an Arab summit meeting. SYNOPSIS: A Tunisian delegation led by the country's Foreign Minister, Mr. Mohammed Masmoudi has began talks with the Jordanian Government. The delegation arrived in Amman last Thursday. Soon after his arrival Mr. Masmoudi offered to mediate in talks between the Jordanian Government and the Palestine guerrillas following the recent clashes. The visiting Foreign Minister toured areas where the fighting took place.
The Jordanian Prime Minister, Mr. El-Tell received the delegation. At the talks, the guerrilla situation was discussed at length. Among the other topics was Mr. Masmoudi's plans for an Arab summit conference involving Arab Presidents and Kings.
No statement was issued after the talks. Mr. Masmoudi intends to visit other Arab nations to discuss the possibility of the summit conference.
