Background: The four-day visit of the Shah of Persia to Jordan, ended Nov. 6. After inspecting a guard of honour at Amman Airport, the Shah bade goodbye to this host, King Hussein.
Just before the Shah boarded his aircraft, King Hussein, in a flying suit, Climbed into a jet fighter, With characteristic verve, the young Jordanian ruler himself piloted the leading plane of a jet squadron escorting the Shah as far as the Saudi Arabian border.
As the Shah flew homeward-bound to Tehran, he was careful not to fly over Iraq territory.
A final joint communique issued in Amman and Tehran, contained nothing of interest about the Shah's visit to Jordan. More significance is attached to the announcement that King Hussein will begin his European "holiday" by flying to Britain Nov. 10.
