DALY: I'm above all grateful and thankful to those voters who came out today in this inclement and unpleasant weather to vote, and particularly grateful to all those people who worked so hard......and I feel this has attempted to unite and go ahead in making Chicago a better city, in which to live and work and I/m grateful to you all.



REPORTER: Although Singer finished second with a disappointing 29% of the vote...............his concession speech was greatest.



SINGER: I want to congratulate him on his victory.........I wish him well in the next four years he is Mayor of Chicago. Nothing can change that.
