Mr. Agostinho Neto, President of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) arrived in Brazzaville on Friday (4 July) for talks with the Congolese Government.
During an audience with the Prime Minister, Mr. Henri Lopes, he said he was in Brazzaville to strengthen relations between the two nations. he said high understanding had always existed between the Congolese Workers' Party and the M.P.L.A.
Mr. Neto said that the reconciliation between the three liberation movements in Angola was a victory for all the people living there .... not just the parties themselves.
The talks between the two delegations were described as friendly and useful.
