Background: With the end of September second week the 4-month rainy season has come to and end in Nepal. The people are very happy that the rains have now ended and the season of gay sun-shine and festivals have started. The farmers, who are in majority in the country are happy that they had good rains and they prospects of better crops. During the rains the peasants had no time to attend to any other business except their fields. Now that their fields are full with growing paddy crops, they are joyously uniting for the sunny autumn when they will see their harvest and fill their goddess with paddy. The gods were kind to them and all the gods remained indoors during the rainy season as all the movements were restricted during the heavy rains. With the end of the rains, all the gods have again came out of their places of rests and enjoying clear and shine. Katmandu, the capital of Nepal celebrates this occasion with great jump and show. Thousands of peasant families assemble at the great city squire to one their gods move in procession, the function attended by the King and members of the Royal family. The functions was celebrated for 3 most cheerful days ending on September 22.
