    A five-man delegation from the British ruling Conservative party is in Amman on a fact-finding tour of the Middle East. Their aim is to see at first hand the latest developments in the Middle East problem. The delegation has been invited by the Arab League.

    On Tuesday (5 January) the delegation toured the Jordan Valley, and then met the Foreign Minister of Jordan, Mr. Abdullah Salah. They had already met representatives of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, and of its National Council, their equivalent of a Parliament.

    At the Ministry of Culture and Information they met the Minister, Mr Adnan Abu Odeh. Before arriving in Jordan the delegation of M.P.s had been to the UAR, and will later go to the Lebanon to discuss the Mideast situation from the Lebanon standpoint.

    The delegation is president over by Mr Patrick Wilson, M.P. Other members are Christopher Brockebank-Flower, M.P., Mr David Crouch, M.P., Mr W.D. Madel, M.P., and Mr A.D. Walder, M.P.
