    THIRTY NINE RELICS OF DR. DAVID LIVINGSTONE, THE FAMOUS MISSIONARY AND EXPLORER OF AFRICA, HAVE GONE ON SHOW IN BLANTYRE, SCOTLAND - HIS BIRTH PLACE IN 1813.

    THEY WERE HANDED OVER BY DR. HUBERT F. WILSON, THE GRANDSON OF THE EXPLORER.

    THE EXHIBITS INCLUDE LIVINGSTONE'S WATCH AND THE FIRST COLOUR SKETCHES OF VICTORIA FALLS.

    THEY HAVE BEEN ON SHOW AT THE LIVINGSTONE MUSEUM IN ZAMBIA FOR THE PAST 12 YEARS. A NUMBER OF OTHER EXHIBITS, MAINLY PAINTINGS BY THOMAS BAINES, OFFICIAL ARTIST ON LIVINGSTONE'S ZAMBESI EXHIBITION (1858/63) ARE ALSO ON SHOW.

    MR. ROBERT C. MACKIE, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE LIVINGSTONE MEMORIAL TRUST, RECEIVED THE EXHIBITS ON BEHALF OF THE MEMORIAL.
