The two brothers found guilty of abducting and murdering Mrs. Muriel McKay, the wife of the deputy chairman of the News of the World organisation, are having their farmhouse auctioned on Wednesday (18 November).
The brothers, Arthur Hosein, aged 33, and Nizamodeen Hosein, aged 21, lived at Rooks farm in Hertfordshire. It was from this heavily-mortgaged, dilapidated farmhouse that the amateur criminals planned their attempt to extract GBP 1 million from Mr. Rupert Murdoch, Chairman of the News of the World, by kidnapping his wife-- but they but they bungled the kidnap and took the wrong person. Mrs. McKay has been missing from her home since December 29.
Three questions remain unanswered in the bizarre crime. Where was Mrs. McKay taken from her Wimbledon home? How was she killed? What happened to her body? Although Police inquiries have not yet ended, the two brothers were found guilty of kidnapping and murder at the Old Bailay on October 6.
