SYNOPSIS: At the Sadabat Palace in Teheran, Her Royal Highness Princess Ashraf Pahlavi of Iran gave a reception in honour of two Japanese Royal guests on a one-day visit to Iran.
They were Crown Prince Akihito of Japan and his wife Princess Michiko.
The Crown Prince and his wife stopped off in Teheran for a brief visit on their way to Afghanistan.
Princess Pahlavi escorted them during their stay to the Niavaran Palace, where the couple were received by the Shah and Queen Farah. The Japanese Ambassador was also present on this occasion. Prince Akihito is son and heir of Japanese Emperor Hirohito. He married Princess Michiko in 1959.
