VISNEWS June 10 interviewed Britain's Brian London after he had been fined a thousand pounds by the British Boxing Board of Control--and suspended for six months.

Defying the board's refusal of permission, London fought World Heavyweight Champion Floyd Patterson for the title at Indianapolis May 1, and was knocked out in eleven rounds. London received a hammering...and GBP21,000...for the fight.

London drove down from his Blackpool home to face the board. Inside the office for only a minute, he emerged white faced and broke the ???s to assembled pressmen. Most of the boxing world were shooed at the severity of the sentence.

Brain said he will never fight in Britain again. "I shall fight in America," he said.

London will appeal against the penalty within six days.
