    A POLITICIAN TIPPED FOR PRIME MINISTER, RETURNED TO SAIGON ON THE NIGHT OF FEBRUARY 5 FROM FRANCE. HE IS DOCTOR NGYEN TON HOAN, WHO HAS LIVED IN EXILE IN FRANCE SINCE 1955. THE UNTA LEADER CALLED HIM BACK FOR CONSULTATIONS.

    DOCTOR NGYEN TON HOAN, A CATHOLIC, WAS LEADER OF THE DAI VIET OR "GREATER VIETNAM" PARTY WHICH WAS OUTLAWED UNDER FORMER PRESIDENT NGO DINH DIEM.

    THE TALKS WERE AIMED AT SOUNDING OUT TO LEADING POLITICIANS ON WHAT POSTS THEY WOULD BE PREPARED TO ACCEPT IN A GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL UNION.
