    At the invitation of the Polish navy, three training ships of the Royal Navy arrived in the Port of Gdynia on November 9 under the command of Captain Morgan C. Giles. They were HMS Vigilant, HMS Venus and HMS Roebuck.

    The ships were greeted as they neared port by a Polish naval launch and as they berthed they were received by the British Consul in Gdynia, Mr. A. Evans, and by Commander Jan Wisniewski of the Polish Navy.

    The same afternoon a delegation of British sailors laid a wreath on the tomb of the defenders of Western platte.

    The following day, they laid wreaths at the cemetery of British soldiers who fell during the second world war in Malbork. They also visited the old City of Gdansk. The visit lasted five days.
