A tumultous welcome awaited Klimant Voroshilov, Chairman of the Supreme Soviet, when he arrived in Warsaw for a diplomatic visit. At the Central railway station he was greeted by Aleksander Zawadski, Vladyslaw Gomulke and other members of the Polish Government. Next the distinguished visitor was welcomed by party officials and diplomatic representatives. Then, after a friendly chat with President of Warsaw, Dworskowaki, Voroshilov was guests of honour at a mass meeting in the Square adjoining the station. (Sound). Voroshilov spoke of the war sufferings experienced by Poland and Russia. Today, he said, they were threatened by another menace - nuclear war. After making his speech, Voroshilov drove off to the Belvedere Palace, where he was guest of honour during his stay in Warsaw.
