  • Description

SPECTATORS WHO FLOCKED TO THE KINSHASA STADIUM IN THE CONGO REPUBLIC THIS WEEK SAW THEIR NATIONAL CHAMPION KELEKE DEFEAT THE SUDANESE CHALLENGER AL MOUSSA IN ONE OF THE MOST SPECTACULAR AND EXCITING BOUTS EVER FOUGHT IN THE CAPITAL.

RIGHT FROM THE START THE TWO WRESTLERS (KELEKE IN STRIPED PANS) FOUGHT WITHOUT QUARTER AND THE VICTORY WAS ANYBODY'S GUESS.

THE GAME WAS QUITE AN INTERNATIONAL AND SOCIAL EVENT IN THE CONGOLESE CAPITAL. THE CONGO MINISTER OF SPORTS AND YOUTH MR. MUMONA WAS ONE OF THE OFFICIAL SPECTATORS AND HE INVITED ALONG HIS OPPOSITE NUMBER FROM THE CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, MR PIERRE GAMBA.

THE TWO WRESTLERS THREW EACH OTHER ACROSS THE RING WITH GREAT GUSTO TO THE IMMENSE DELIGHT OF THE SPECTATORS. THERE IS A GREAT ELEMENT OF SHOW MANSHIP IN PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING AND THE TWO FIGHTERS DON'T DO AS MUCH INJURY TO EACH OTHER AS IT SOMETIMES LOOKS. BUT JUST THE SAME THE MATCH IS FOUGHT HARD ENOUGH. AFTER A FEW MINUTES KELEKE GOT THE UPPER HAND OVER HIS OPPONENT. A TIGHT ARM-LOCK PARALYSED THE SUDANESE. KELEKE FOLLOWED UP WITH A FOREARM SMASH, THEM SLAMMED THE WEAKENED MOUSSA TO THE CANVA.

TWENTY MINUTES FROM THE START OF THE FIRST ROUND THE CONGOLESE SPECTATORS WERE WILDLY CHEERING THEIR NATIONAL CHAMP.
