Background: Frogmen were called out to search the partly submerged wreckage of a train that was derailed about 100 yards from Hultafors station, in Sweden, early Saturday morning, and plunged into a nearby lake.

For 48 hours, under sub-zero conditions, the frogmen checked and double-checked the wrecked train for crash victims but found nothing. The final casualty list stands at 20 passengers injured, a miraculously small figure in view of the damage sustained by the Gothenburg-Boras express.

Swedish railway officials state that the accident was caused by a fault in the lines, possibly due to the intense cold now prevalent in Sweden.
