    THE FRENCH NAVAL SHIP, HONNEUR PATRIE, HAS LEFT TEEMA HARBOUR FOR DAKAR, SENEGAL AFTER A FIVE-DAY ROUTINE VISIT TO GHANA.

    THE VISIT WAS THE FIRST OF A SERIES BEING MADE ??? THE SHIP TO COUNTRIES ALONG THE GULF OF GUINEA. THE SHIP HAS A CREW OF INCLUDING FIVE SENIOR AND EIGHT JUNIOR OFFICERS.

    IT IS UNDER THE COMMAND OF CAPTAIN BE??? - THE HONNEUR PATRIE, WHICH IS ON ANNUAL DUTY ALONG THE COAST OF WEST AFRICA, WILL VISIT A NUMBER OF FRENCH SPEAKING COUNTRIES INCLUDING CAMEROUN, THE IVORY COAST AND GABON. IT IS EXPECTED TO SAIL BACK TO TOULON, FRANCE IN FEBRUARY NEXT YEAR.

    THERE WAS A SURF BOAT DISPLAY BY SOME CREW-MEMBERS BEFORE THEIR DEPARTURE. THE COMMANDER OF THE TEEMA NAVAL BASE, LIEUTENANT COMMANDER KYEREMAH AND AN OFFICIAL OF THE FRENCH EMBASSY WERE AT THE HARBOUR TO SEE THE SHIP OFF.
