Background: The United Nations Chief Delegates of the Big Four Powers conferred again yesterday for the 35th time in their continued effort to find a Middle East peace formula.

Lord Caradon, the British representative, was the host for the meeting, the 35th in the series which began in April, 1969.

During a three week pause in the talks, deputies of the Big Four delegates have been trying to work out a memorandum incorporating the points of agreement reached by their chiefs.

After more than two hours of talks they agreed to meet again on June 12. and authorised their deputies to continue work on the draft memorandum covering points of agreement reached so far.

The fact that they decided on a further postponement was interpreted as an indication that the day's talks had been fairly negative.
