Background: Continuing their eight-day visit to Pakistan, the Shah of Persia and Queen Farah, flew back into Lahore Feb 25 to attend an evening function in their honour. Later Queen Farah attended a Girl Guide rally.
The Shah and his lovely Queen arrived in Karachi Feb 20 to begin an informal visit of four-days, followed by a four-day State visit.
At the Girl Guide rally the Queen was entertained by a display of folk dancing, Queen Farah was once a Girl Guide, and only a few months ago was art student in Paris.
It was officially stated in Lahore Feb 26 that Queen Farah was feeling tired and had accordingly cancelled several engagements because of indisposition. A member of the Persian Royal family said in Teheran Feb 26 that Queen Farah is expecting a baby in mid-November.
Shortly after the Shah's arrival in Karachi Feb 20, another head of State, President Bayar of Turkey, also arrived for a short visit. He flew off to Lahore where he was joined the following day the Shah and Pakistani President Ayub Khan for political talks.
