The Cyprus Peace Conference, meeting in Geneva, ran into difficulties on Saturday (August 10) as it began discussing the constitutional future of the troubled Mediterranean island. The Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Greece and Great Britain - guarantor powers of the Independence of Cyprus - were told by Greek Cypriot |Leader Glafkos Clerides, the acting President of Cyprus, that they had no right to impose a constitution on the island.
