    THE 17-TON CARGO INCLUDED 26,000 POUNDS (12,000 KGS) OF DRIED FISH AND 8,000 POUNDS (3,600 KGS) OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES.

    THE CANADIAN CONSIGNMENT REPRESENTS THE FIRST PART OF A GBP20,000 STERLING CASH GRANT WHICH WAS MADE AVAILABLE LAST MAY TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE OF THE RED CROSS.
