Background: This party of week end Commando's of R. Marine Reserve came to Glen Shee to find hard winder conditions in which they could have some Arctic training. They climbed to a height of about 3,500' up Meil-Odhar where they set up Camp & spent the night above the snow line. The party was under the Command of Capt. G. Manning of West Sherwood who is an LCC bridge expert. The mountaineering expert with the party was Lt. Allan Blackshow, who was with Sir John Hans, on his expedition to the Gaucasus last year. Also with the party was Lt. Pitman, Son of Pitman of shorthand fame.
These men are from shops 2 offices in London. They arrived in Glen Shee on Sat. morning 21st Feb. a will all be back in their shops a offices on Monday morning 23rd Feb.
