Background: Twenty-two Kindergarten teachers from nine French-speaking African countries met in the Togolese capital, Lome, on Tuesday last week (June 2nd) at the start of a four-week practical course in pre-school education.
Nations represented are the Cameroun, the Ivory Coast, the Central African Republic, Mauritius, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Chad and Togo.
Following a meeting in Haifa, Israel, last january, organised by 'Mount Carmel', and international foundation for community development, this present course is one of a series arranged by the State of Israel, with the collaboration of UNESCO, the Togolese Government and organisations of Swedish women.
It is under the joint leadership on Mme Fanette Modek from 'Mount Carmel' M. Joel Sher, Israeli Ambassador to Togo, M. Moumouni Mama, representing the Minister of Social Affairs and Mr Christophe Dogbeavou.
