    UNDOUBTEDLY THE MOST MODERN POOL IN THE WORLD, THE MEXICAN OLYMPIC POOL WAS BUILT IN A RECORD 19 MONTHS AND CAN HOLD 24,000 SPECTATORS. THE HANGING ROOF IS 444 FEET (135 METERS) LONG AN 250 FEET (74.8 METRES) WIDE - BUILT WITHOUT SUPPORTING PILLARS.

    CONSTANT HOT WATER MAINTAINS AN EQUABLE TEMPERATURE IN THE POOL, AND THE DIVING BOARDS WERE POISED AND BUILT TO THE STANDARDS OF THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE.

    AN ELECTRONIC SCOREBOARD WILL FLASH THE POINTS AWARDED TO COMPETITORS IN THE SWIMMING AND DIVING EVENTS.

    AFTER THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY, PRESIDENT ORDAZ DIAZ WATCHED SOME DIVING FROM THE HIGH BOARD.
