The Vice-President of the Zimbabwe African National Union, Simon Muzenda, has recently visited Beirut. He met the leader of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, Yasser Arafat, and informed sources say the two leaders held talks on co-operation between their organisations, and discussed Rhodesia and the Middle East. Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Muzenda said close ties existed between ZANU and the PLO, and these long-standing relations would continue.
