Background: The League of Yugoslav Communists and Socialists convened in the Slovenian tourist resort city of Bled on Bled on Thursday (7 February). The three day meeting was held against a background of concern for Yugoslavia's future leadership.
SYNOPSIS: Some of Yugoslavia's top politician and theorists were amongst the one-hundred and fifty delegates, meeting under the Presidency of Mr. Stevan Doronjski,at the head of the table, with prominent committee members Vladimir Bakaric and Stane Dolanc on his right.
It's the sixtieth anniversary of the inception of the organisation which became the Yugoslav Communist Party. The delegates met not only to discuss the future of the country's leadership, but also the paths the League will follow and the development of socialism.
They've pledged themselves to President Tito's policy of a continuing fight for peace, and the liberation of all the world's people.
