Background: In Abidjan on Thursday (31 October) the Ivory Coast Minister for Tourism, Mr. Blaise N'dia Koffi, opened the annual conference of the Society for Promoting Tourism, an organisation which encourages the development of tourist attractions in the Ivory Coat, Dahomey, Upper Volta, Niger and Togo.
Mr. Koffi said the Society "must remain a symbol of regional co-operation and of success, as well as a privileged place for confrontation of ideas and men."
