Background: In London for a three week stay Prime Minister of Australia, Robert Menzies was filmed by Visnews June 1 at London Airport. He flew in from New York with his wife, Dame Pattie Menzies. They were met by Australian High Commissioner Sir Eric Harrison and by Viscount Hailsham.
His visit is largely to have personal talks with Premia Macmillan. He will also see the Queen, to discuss the appointment of a new Governor General to succeed Sir William Slim.
His stay in the United States was to some extent overshadowed by John Footer Dulles' funeral. But while there he spoke to Secretary of State Herter about the Geneva conference.
