King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola of Belgium arrived at Tokyo International airport at 2:05 p.m.?
King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola of Belgium arrived at Tokyo International airport at 2:05 p.m. on 20th January for 11 day State Visit. King and Queen were welcomed by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess and other Imperial family members and Premier Hayato Ikeda and Mrs. Ikeda (with Japanese kimono) at the airport. King Baudouin accompanied by Foreign Minister Paul Henri-Spaak who is so well known in Japan as initiator of EEC and his diplomatic career in Europe will see Japanese Emperor and Empress. Later they are scheduled to meet Japanese political leaders to discuss more trade and economic tie with EEC countries at Tokyo where they are scheduled to stay four days and then they will visit Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima and Nagasaki for 7 days and then the Royal group will leave Fukuoka, Kyushu Island for Hongkong. Japan welcomes King and Queen of Belgium so much as Premier Ikeda wishes to discuss with Foreign Minister Spaak a couple of times while he stays in Japan about more economic tie between Japan and Belgium.
