Background: Elias Saba, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Defence of Lebanon, is currently is Saudi Arabia on a visit. He arrived in Riyadh, the Saudi Arabian capital, on May 16. His visit is at the invitation of his Saudi Arabian counterpart Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Defence and Aviation. Minister Saba is making this in return for a recent visit to Lebanon by the Saudi Arabian Minister.

Minister Saba president the best wishes of Lebanese President Sulaiman Franjiya to King Faisal, as well as to other Saudi Arabian leaders and officials. As Minister of Defence for Lebanon he inspected various military facilities and equipment. He also took the opportunity to inspect some civilian projects, such as the Riyadh water facility and television station.

SYNOPSIS: The Lebanese Minister of Finance and Defence, Elias Saba, is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia. His host is his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz.

Minister Saba met with King Faisal and other officials to present 4the best wishes of his country's President, Sulaiman Franjiya. During his stay in Saudi Arabia, Minister Saba will be having conversations on issues concerning mutual defence. In addition to King Faisal, he met Prince Fahd who is Second Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior.

Minister Saba inspected two military training facilities. the first was the "King Abdul-Aziz Military Academy where he inspected equipment and personnel.

At the "King Faisal Air College" the Lebanese Minister held conversations with military officials. These meetings are an important part of his visit.

The ceremonial part of the trip was evident....Gifts were presented, and talks held with the mayor of Riyadh, Prince Salman.

Minister Saba also attended a State Banquet.

He also viewed some civilian enterprise. He visited the Riyadh water facility, and the television station.
