  • Description

A week after death of President Gamel Abdel Nasser of Egypt, thousands continue to mourn throughout the Arab world-and pilgrimages to his tomb in Cairo are a round-the-clock event. Yesterday (Monday), hundreds marched to the Mosque at Manshiat El Bakry, laying wreaths and paying a final homage to their deceased leader.

Although the mass hysteria of the funeral days has abated-that mourning has not. Among the many groups was a large delegation of schoolgirls carrying wreaths and portraits of the late President.

They were followed by another group composed of Coptic priests and nuns.

One of the more emotional delegations was composed of Palestinian women who wept openly as they approached the Mosque with their floral tributes.

From all over the Arab world, delegations of actors and artists have flocked to Cairo-forming a large united group of the march to the Egyptian leader's final resting place.
