  • Description

A telephonist in Brisbane, Australia, blind since birth, has invented a device which makes hand-writing easier for sightless people.

The device comprises a notched clip-board, and a metal bar with squares out in it for inscribing letters.

The writer drops the bar into the notches on the board, then feels his way across it, inscribing his letters around the extremities of each square.

Miss Jones calls her method "Pleasure Print". It's still slow, she admits, but completely foolproof. She hopes it will take on quickly with blind people.
