    SOUND EFFECTS.

SCU Mr. Anthony Eden speaks:- "I should imagine that most people in this Country would share my view that an early General Election is to be welcomed. The sharp & increasingly growing grave dissensions within the Socialist Party itself, the anxious international outlook; the mounting troubles at home with the Cost of Living as only one. Each & all call for a Government firm in policy & united in purpose. I should imagine that nobody could pretend that the present Government would claim to be that."

CU Mr. Eden concludes:- "So we must try to do better - and the sooner the opportunity comes for the nation the better. Thank you."
