    On Tuesday morning (15 February) East and West Berlin Commissioners met at the Rathaus (Town Hall) in Wedding, a French sector of Berlin, to consider practical difficulties in the establishment of offices to issue Wall passes to travellers wishing to cross from West to Eat. The officials also viewed one of five offices to be used for issuing the passes. Under the terms of an agreement signed in East Berlin on 21st December last year, West Berliners as well as tourists will be allowed to visit East Berlin and East Germany for periods of up to 30 days each year...or longer in emergencies or special circumstances.

    SYNOPSIS: Commissioners from Eat and West Berlin arrived at the Town Hall in Wedding.... inside the French Sector of the city... on Tuesday morning to begin discussions on the practical problems of establishing offices to issue Wall Passes to travellers wishing to cross from West to East Berlin.

    The commissioners also inspected an office intended to be used as one of five Wall Pass premises. (PAUSE 5 SECS) Under the terms of an agreement signed in East Berlin shortly before Christmas, West Berliners will be allowed to visit East Berlin and East Germany for periods of up to 30 days each year...or longer, in the case of emergencies or special circumstances. These premises are already being used to issue Wall Passes.
