Background: President Nixon's former top aides, Mr. H.R. Haldeman and Mr. John Ehrlichman, tended a Grand Jury hearing in Washington on Thursday (3rd May). Both men had signed on Monday (30th April) as a result of the Watergate bugging scandal.
Mr. Haldeman and Mr. Ehrlichman, who have been described in the past as Mr. Nixon's right and left hand men, were accompanied by their attorneys. They arrived the court house before nine a.m..... hours ahead of the Grand Jury. It is possible at no Grand Jury has ever questioned persons closer to the President before.
The former aides have been accused of involvement in political espionage, ???d in the attempts to cover it up. Earlier both men stated their intentions to answer all questions.
