THE TUNKU LEFT KUALA LUMPUR FOR TOKYO YESTERDAY, AND IS STOPPING OVER IN BOTH HONG KONG AND SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, ON THE WAY.

    TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN WAS FAREWELLED AT KUALA LUMPUR AIRPORT BY MALAYSIAN DIGNITARIES AND OTHER WELL-WISHERS BEFORE LEAVING FOR HONG KONG. IN SEOUL, HE WILL WITNESS THE INITIALLING OF A CULTURAL PACT BETWEEN MALAYSIA AND SOUTH KOREA.

    THE MALAYSIAN PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO JAPAN IS MAINLY TO ATTEND A MEETING OF THE ASIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, OF WHICH HE IS PRESIDENT. HE ALSO HOPES TO MEET PRESIDENT SUKARNO TO DISCUSS INDONESIA'S DISPUTE WITH MALAYSIA.

    A HONG KONG NEWSPAPER REPORTED TODAY THAT "HIGHLY RELIABLE SOURCES" SAID PRESIDENT SUKARNO WAS EXPECTED IN TOKYO WITHIN 10 DAYS. HOWEVER, THE INDONESIAN NEWS AGENCY, ANTARA, TODAY QUOTED A JAPANESE ENVOY AS SAYING THAT PRESIDENT SUKARNO WOULD PROBABLY NOT GO TO JAPAN THIS MONTH.
