  • Description

The anti-noise legislation to be debated in the United States next month could decide the future of the Anglo-French supersonic airliner, Concorde. If New York and other states decide to ban aircraft operating over a set noise level, the two-billion-dollar Concorde may have to be scrapped. The project employs over 25,000 workers and has run well over budget during construction. The final fear for Anglo-French interests is that the Concorde may prove to be too small to fly economically when its current test programme ends in 1973.

SOUND INCLUDES: SOUND of men working, whine of testing engine, SOUND of Concorde in flight an din taking off.
