Background: Taking an active interest in Ghana's role in the Congo is the High Commissioner of Ghana in Britain Sir Edward Asafu-Adjaye.
After an early meeting to greet Congolese Prime Minister Lumumba at London Airport on his way to Tunis, Sir Edward a few hours later Aug 3 began his second engagement - to present his credentials to the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
He wore national dress, had a brief smile for photographers and with a wave from his wife, Sir Edward left for the Palace in a carriage. Though there were no special traffic privileges for the High Commissioner's short drive, his procession brought a touch of pageantry to the scene.
