  • Description

As the first Asians expelled from Uganda begin to arrive in Britain, a luxury hotel chain in London has offered free accommodation to 100 immigrants for up to three months.

The offer has been made by the Associated Hotels Group, one of whose directors is Sir Charles Cunningham, a member of the Government's Uganda Resettlement Board.

One of the first families to take advantage of the free accommodation was that of Mr. Purshotten Gokaldas, a 56-year-old merchant, who arrived penniless and exhausted at London's Heathrow Airport on Tuesday (5th September).
