    Background: The Archbishop of Lome, Monsignor robert Dosseh presided at a ceremony in Cotonou, Dahomey recently at which Mgr. Christopher Adimou received the Pallium -- the symbol of his position as Archbishop of Cotonou.

    A large crowd witnessed the ceremony ad the sheepskin Pallium (a vestment similar to a shawl), carried from Pope Paul VI in Rome, was placed on the shoulders of Archbishop Adimou.

    Thanking Archbishop Dosseh, Archbishop Adimou sent his gratitude to the Pope for the honour.
