Background: A collection of vintage racing cars were given an outing (June 4) to run in competition. The race featuring cars manufactured between 1920 and 1930 was just one of the races in the Eleventh International Old Timer Grand Prix at the Hockenheim Ring race track. The first of two heats were won by P. Attenbach from West Germany (No. 91) in an MG PB Special. The winning time was 16.39.18. He came in just one and a half seconds ahead of J. Morley (No. 93) from Great Britain driving a Riley Sprite. Third was another Briton, D. Edwards (No. 96) in an Aston Martin Ulster, in 16.48.82.
