Kenya's Foreign Minister, Dr. Njoroge Mungai, left Nigeria today (Wednesday) after what he described as a very successful visit. Dr. Mungai, who arrived in Lagos on Saturday, yesterday held talks with Nigerian Head of State, Major-General Yakubu Gowon.
Before leaving today, Dr. Mungai told reporters that he and Major-General Gowon had discussed social, economic and political matters.
It's believed the Kenyan minister also briefed Nigerian officials on last week's meeting between Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia on the question of a possible resumption of British arms sales to South Africa.
Dr. Mungai, who was flying home via way of Geneva, carried with him a personal message from General Gowon to President Jomo Kenyatta. The message is in reply to one he took to General Gowon from President Kenyatta.
