    THE FIRST SEVERE SNOW AND RAIN STORM OF THE SEASON SWEPT UP THE ATLANTIC COASTLINE INTO THE NORTHEASTERN STATES ON THURSDAY (NOV. 25TH), DUMPING AS MUCH AS TOW FEET OF SNOW IN MANY AREAS AND SERENADING THOUSANDS OF THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY MOTORISTS AND BUSES. THE SNOW WAS PARTICULARLY HEAVY IN UPSTATE NEW YORK AND IN THE HILLY REGIONS OF MASSACHUSETTS. THE STORM WAS A SKIERS DELIGHT AND A MOTORIST'S NIGHTMARE. JEEP-DRIVEN AND TRUCK-DRIVEN PLOWS WERE OUT IN FORCE ON THE MAIN HIGHWAYS IN MASSACHUSETTS. ANOTHER STORM IS REPORTED ON THE WAY FOR THE WEEKEND.
