    THE MAMMOTH ANTENNA IS ENCLOSED IN A FLYING SAUCER SHAPED RADOME MEASURING MORE THAN THIRTY FEET IN DIAMETER INSTALLED HIGH ATOP THE FOUR ENGINE MILITARY LOCKHEED SUPER CONSTELLATION'S FUSELAGE. THIS AIRPLANE REPRESENTS A MAJOR MILESTONE IN THE EVER ADVANCING FIELD OF AIRBORNE EARLY WARNING DEVELOPMENT AND HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE NAVAL AIR DEVELOPMENT UNIT AT SOUTH WEYMOUTH TO DETERMINE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THIS EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT IN THE DEFENSE SYSTEM.
