Background: The United roles of Ghana and Niger in the southern African struggle were a key topic in diplomatic talks in Accra this week (11 May).
Niger's Head of State, His Excellency Lt. Col. Seyni Kountche, and his entourage, were the guests of Ghanian leaders, most notably the Head of State and chairman of the National Redemption Council, H.E. Colonel I.K. Acheampong.
As well as the southern african question, the two parties discussed co-operation between their countries in the fields of politics, economics, commerce and health.
The party from Nigeria visited many of ghana's industrial and cultural centres.
