    THE ANNUAL MARCH BY THE COMMITTEE FOR NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT ENDED IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE THIS AFTERNOON (MONDAY) WHEN THE MARCHERS WERE ADDRESSED BY MADAME NGUYEN THI BINH. MADAME BINH IS THE DEPUTY HEAD REPRESENTATIVE AT THE PARIS PEACE TALKS OF THE NATIONAL LIBERATION FRONT OF VIETNAM.

    THIS YEAR'S MARCH IS THE SUCCESSOR TO THE FAMOUS ALDERMASTON MARCHES OF THE LATE FIFTIES. THIS TIME, HOWEVER, THE DEMONSTRATORS SET OUT FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM, DEMONSTRATING AT VARIOUS MILITARY ESTABLISHMENTS ON THE WAY. THEY TRAVELLED MOSTLY BY COACH, AND THE CULMINATION OF THE THREE DAY AFFAIR WAS THE FINAL MARCH AND RALLY IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE.

    MADAME BINH HAD ALREADY ATTENDED ANOTHER CND RALLY IN THE RUINS OF COVENTRY CATHEDRAL, DESTROYED BY GERMAN BONDS IN 1940. IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE, THE CROWD SHOUTED PRO-VIET CONG SLOGANS BEFORE MADAME BINH SPOKE.
