    THREE BRITISH SOLDIERS KILLED IN A MOUNTAIN BATTLE WERE BURIED IN THE MILITARY CEMETERY OUTSIDE ADEN YESTERDAY (SATURDAY). WREATHS WERE LAID ON TWO OF THE MEN'S GRAVES BY THEIR WIDOWS.

    THE MEN WERE SERGEANT THOMAS THUNDER, LANCE SERGEANT PATRICK O'REILLY AND LANCE CORPORAL MICHAEL FREAR. BOTH SERGEANTS WERE MARRIED WITH CHILDREN. THEY WERE MEMBERS OF THE IRISH GUARDS.

    WREATHS WERE ALSO LAID BY THE BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER AND ARMY UNITS IN ADEN.

    FOUR TRIBESMEN WERE KILLED IN THE BATTLE WHICH WAS FOUGHT IN THE RADFAN MOUNTAINS AFTER THE GUARDS HAD STAGED AN AMBUSH.
