  • Description

British international show-jumper Harvey Smith won the British jumping Derby on Sunday for the second year running.

But a few hours after his win the Directors of the Hickstead show-ground disqualified him and declared his GBP20000 (4,800 U.S. dollars) first prize forfeit because of what they called a 'disgusting' two-finger gesture he made in the direction of the Directors' box.
