    The South African Government's proposals, as set down in the Separate University Education Bill, to ban non-whites from white Universities and to establish separate universities for them, has angered Cape Town University students.

    During the parliamentary reading of the Bill, students staged protests and they continue to do so during the hearing of a special commission set up by the Government after much afverse criticism of the Bill.

    The Bill was referred to the commission after the second reading and this was considered an important victory for the opposition.

    The students make their feelings on apatheic, quite clear by their placards.
