Background: I oneloso a programme of the visit of Lord Home, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. This is not the final programme. However, such changes that they may be made are unlikely to be major ones. It would, however, be as well to check nearer the time with no or with Mr. Russell, Head of the F.O. News Department, who will be accompanying the Secretary of State. The following additional information may be of use to you or to whoever may be covering the visit on behalf of the newspaper or agency your represent;-
Lord Home will be accompanied by Lady Home and by the following senior members of his staff;-

Those marked with an asterisk will be accompanied by their wives.
Lord Home, Sir Evelyn Shuckburgh and his Private Secretaries will be staying with the British Ambassador. Mr. Russell will be staying at the Ritz Hotel where he will be available to the press throughout the visit.
As will be soon from the programme Lord Home plans to say a few words to the press, radio and T.V. at the airport on arrival and to hold a Press Conference for the British and Portuguese press, radio and T.V. and for the international newsagencies at 9.45 a.m. on Sunday, May 28, the day of his departure.
