ALIGARH is an important industrial town, very popular in India, as a centre of Muslim culture.
On roll no. one, in the beginning we see first few shots, long and mid, of people carrying their belongings and then leave behind, as the same are submerged under water. A pan shot of such houses under water and also some fallen houses are seen next. Then we see some homeless families who have squatted on the roads. We see their belongings and they are, some of them, busy smoking hubble-bubble, typical Indian Smoke. Some more fallen houses are seen in the end of this roll.
On roll no. two, a Pan Shot of the flooded area is seen in the beginning. The follow the long and id shots of people wading through the Grand Trunk Road ( which leads to most of the important cities of India). The last shots on this roll show the Burmah Shell fuel pump and some buildings that are submerged under water.
On roll No. three, in the beginning a long shot of a very big cotton mill under water is shown. Also we see the rescue boats working hard. Long and mid shots of some important buildings are seen next. Once again camera records the homeless people squatting on other roads. Some people of the town are helping to raise the embankment.

Background: ALIGARH is an important industrial town, very popular in India, as a centre of Muslim culture. It is 80 miles off Delhi and has one of the biggest Universities of India, named as ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY. It had to face this time an unprecedent stream of floods in 63 years.
I had to rush to the worst affected area, deep into the flood town. I am sure I took some time but reached the proper spot and the truest scenes which are very impressive and picturesque. These will undoubtedly surpass any thing sent earlier.
